At Growers Supply, we don’t want to simply sell you products. We think it is important to teach customers about the most up-and-coming trends in the agricultural and horticultural communities. Our first CEA School, which encompassed presentations and hands-on training for hydroponics, fodder production and aquaponics, was such a success that we have added additional dates this June! Please join us from June 18 to 20, 2013 to learn everything you need to know about the most up-and-coming trends in horticulture.

Presentation CEA School

The purpose of this session is to educate growers of any background on the variety of controlled environment agriculture opportunities. The hydroponics portion of the event will discuss production factors, trouble-shooting, disease control, marketing your produce and more. We have a variety of hydroponic systems at our Dyersville campus that will be used to give attendees hands-on experience instead of sitting in a classroom all day. The fodder curriculum will cover using fodder in your operation, system components, sanitation, producing microgreens for high-end markets and more. The introduction to aquaponics will go over the basics of fish farming, the connection between hydroponic vegetable production and fish farming, how to construct aquaponics systems to produce at a variety of levels and more.

The CEA school costs $995.00, which includes three nights lodging and lunch each day. As an added bonus, if you want to purchase a system after the school is over, you will receive $995.00 off the purchase of a complete hydroponic, aquaponic or fodder system. If you have already purchased a system, you will be able to attend the CEA school for free.
